We welcome applications from organisations whose projects will benefit the people of Stanford in the Vale.

Applications are welcome at any time and are considered at the next Trustee meeting after we receive them.

It’s often worth talking to the Clerk before you apply. Trustees give feedback on every application.

Our criteria

The Trustees consider each application against our charitable purpose and the Charity Commission’s guidelines. In particular, we look for projects that:

  • benefit the people of the parish of Stanford in the Vale
  • come from organisations that are actively supporting and strengthening the community
  • fall within Charity Commission guidelines
  • are for capital expenditure that will leave a lasting legacy

What we don’t normally fund

To keep within our charter, grants will not normally be awarded:

  • to individuals
  • retrospectively, for work already done or paid for
  • for consumables, such as pens, paints, paper, other disposable materials and foodstuffs
  • for maintenance costs, insurance, or hire and rental charges

What to send

Your completed Grant Application form, with at least two independent quotations for the work, service or equipment you are asking us to fund.

When you’ve finished, send the form and any attachments to the Clerk by email or post, or drop it into the post-box at the address on our contact page. If you have questions or need help completing the form, the Clerk will be happy to help.

What happens next

Your application will be acknowledged and  considered at the next Trustee meeting after it is received. The Clerk will will let you know the Trustees decision and give feedback on your application. We share the personal data on your form only as described in our privacy notice.
